Biographical Sketch

Mohamed Tamer A. Refaei is a Ph.D. student in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech. He expects to complete his Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering in December 2006. His research interests are in security and wireless networks. His advisor is Dr. Luiz DaSilva.

Mohamed Tamer received his B.S in Computer Science form the University of Maryland College Park in 2000 and his M.S in Computer Science from the George Washington University in 2003. He is a student member of the IEEE.

Mohamed Tamer has held jobs as software engineer and as a software engineering manager at companies in the U.S. and in Egypt. His hobbies include soccer, squash, and traveling.
